I grew up going to NO gigs just before Low Life was released.
We all wanted the tunes off PC&L/the singles etc that we knew, but they played sets full of tunes we only knew through bootlegs that was to become Low Life.
In those days there was always one song that gobsmacked the audience.
They released a tame version of it on Low Life. Which was a dissapointment to those who witnessed it live.

i never saw them perform Sunrise live (maybe this year?!!) but the version of Low Life is still quality in my opinion. edit: Listening to a live version of it now though.....it's way better. Roskilde 1984 'LOVE AND DEATH LOVE AND DEATH!" :D

i have to disagree on this one, mate. keep it off the set list. no, i haven't seen it live, but from listening to all the bootlegs of the song i'm still not all that impressed. run would be nice. take out BM, for sure.

i would take run and sunrise over BM any day, however, it's their signature pop song...won't happen in our life time
Sunrise contains far too many long sentences for Bernard to remember, I'm afraid. And they will certainly have to enlarge the autocue,'cause they won't fit on the screen even if you cut them in half ...

Something he's quite adept at. Maybe some random whistles (always at the same spot) and random "come on"s (again, on cue). 
Yup, too many words for nowadays but a top song nonetheless!
There's that stuff he's saying when it's all going mad towards the end which I've never quite deciphered. His vocal level sort of dips slightly in the mix so it's not that easy to make out what he's saying there.
The way it ends too is sublime with just the single note and then the contrast with the following song (Sooner Than You Think?) is class too.
Having experienced Sunrise live and being only 16 and surrounded by some hefty bastards I can only say get fit as it was one of the 'liveliest' moshes I have encountered in my gig-going life. I ended up black and blue.
Still, bring it back I say

Hefty bastards??!! Not much has changed there, then!!
I was lucky enough to be at the live debut of Sunrise and I remember feeling uplifted by it for a long time afterwards. It was classic New Order ............
