What was the source of that info? Earthcore press release? Seems the rumours have been substantiated rather than "put to rest".
Those grapes are almost rancid. Wonder who's to blame here? Event promoters guaranteed me months ago that Hooky would be appearing exclusively to Earthcore. After Parklife was annnounced, we did express surprise that he'd do both tours (see page one).
At the end of that day, Parklife was always going to be a better fit for Hooky's sets given their schedule and line-up. Earthcore seemed a bit hippy-trance. The sort of thing that CTB might rock up to in the bush, his tree-beard flowing and tie-dye smock flailing as he danced for Gaia.

FESTIVALS #9: HOOKY DROPS EARTHCORE Peter Hook will not be appearing at the Earthcore Global Carnival Victoria (24th - 26th November at Undera). According to organiser Spiro Boursine, Earthcore has been weighing up its contractual and legal rights for a number of weeks since his management and booking agent tried to quit the Earthcore tour. "Despite his management and booking agent signing an exclusivity contract for Victoria and Queensland and accepting a booking deposit with Earthcore earlier this year," says Boursine, "less than six months later they proceeded to break the Earthcore contract by accepting the Parklife tour, then reneged on the Qld Earthcore appearance all together, finally refusing to return to Australia for Earthcore Vic at all, due to the close proximity of the Parklife tour."
