Mine is a live performance of Ceremony by Joy Division.

That one would make my year

The giant turd at the Leigh Festival.

It would be nice if they show New Order emerging from the wreckage at The Beach Club or even reclaiming their JD heritage playing LWTUA in Birminham in 83 or even Decades at the RFH in 84. That would end it in a nice life-affirming way i.e. life goes on but he's not forgotten.

Ian walking out of his house into the morning sunshine, bags in hand.Nervous, yet excited about his and the bands first trip to the States.

I'd have to go with the giant turd scene too. I've read the old version of the script but I know there has been many updates since then. The version I read has these scenes:

  • Each band member blowing a fart nervously before their first Warsaw gig
  • Ian's doctor telling him the side effects of his medicine includes farting
  • Ian in mid pee while the rest of the band starts playing
  • Ian peeing in the ashtray at one of the hotels while he was drunk because the people were rude

The script excluded these scenes:

  • The band playing "shit in the hand" at the hotel room
  • The time Mick Middles drank a pint of piss after a lost bet
  • The bathroom walls smeared with shit in the rivalry between the Buzzcocks and JD
  • The giant turd that Ian kept going on about
  • The time Ian went on about a band member who flicked boogers at his girlfriend on the bus

We get good insight into what Ian and the band were really like in this film

  • Whoops, almost forgot to mention the "spit in the face" game they used to play at the hotel rooms and the dude who projectile vomited all over the hotel ceiling - forgot who that was.

Bit of a faecophile then, Interzone?

In that case, how about the turd - smearing over the light switches in the toilets to wind up The Buzzcocks? (again)

I'd like to see the preliminary scenes before the recording of the LWTUA video in the warehouse rehearsal rooms.

Mice in the buzzcocks tour van.

Maybe the band sitting around listening to Kraftwerk before the gig, Barney and Steve nodding in quiet approval, foreshadowing to their 80s glory, with Ian sitting there trying to hold off a seizure as the music intensifies...something like that I dunno :confused2:

"No Ian.......I am your father"

I'd like them to include the scene where I introduce Bernard to the synthesizer and teach Hooky how to play bass.

The infamous 'contract written in blood' scene. Would be interesting to compare with 24HPP.

Do you get the feeling this is going to be "Spinal Tap" in black and white film that Anton C. likes to use?

Scene: JD doing the abortive album for RCA on before Unknown Pleasures and complaining to the mixer/producer for putting some synths in 1978 on it....
