From Yahoo Music News:

"Deborah is understood to be co-producer of the film -- which is being shot in Nottingham and Macclesfield, where Curtis is buried -- alongside Factory Records boss Tony Wilson."

In the ground and forgotten before anyone here could cobble together a few nice words.

co-producer alongside Tony Wilson! Badly phrased, wasn't it?

It doesn't say that he's dead ... just that he is buried next to Ian Curtis.

Probably a fan prank.

Try reading it like this, which is how they assumed it would be read......

"Deborah is understood to be co-producer of the film (which is being shot in Nottingham and Macclesfield, where Curtis is buried) alongside Factory Records boss Tony Wilson."

:nonono: Horrible grammar indeed... It gives the impression that Tony Wilson is dead (I'm sure people that loathe him may want him dead), when he's not dead yet!

The clause is set off by dashes, so you have to separate the stuff that's within the dashes from the stuff that's without the dashes. Then you can see that Tony Wilson not claimed to be dead. Not a typo or incorrect, just poor wording.

Back to basics, how can you be buried alongside someone who hasn't been buried? Also, if he hasn't been buried he ain't buried in Macclesfield!

Where did they spread the ashes is another kettle of fish! I don't think we know do we?

The stone in Macclesfield crematorium doesn't mark the Spot.

You'd be surprised at the power of 'positive' thinking LG. Malcolm Glazer's just had two strokes...

Damn, I'm sure Al F. was thinking along the same lines as me... 'There goes a hefty proportion of interviews for the New Order book then...'

Thank goodness for that!

It doesn't actually say he's dead, just buried.

I'd have thought WHO is being shot in Nottingham is more appropriate these days.

.....have I just alienated all the East Midlanders?

  iu'm not even sure if parentheses are needed. they just should have ommited the whole "Ian is burried there" line.

it also gives the impression deborah and wilson will be working "together" quite a bit on the filming and scenes. it would be interesting to see some of the behind the scenes making of it. are they actually going to film at 77 barton street?
