Glastonbury 1987 recordings

A bunch of songs performed at Glastonbury 1987 didn't make the cut for the BBC Radio 1 Live album for some reason, including a bang on version of Subculture. I know they were recorded and broadcast on the radio, though. Are there any soundboard recordings of these missing tracks floating around, preferably in some digital format?

Yes...

Subculture, Sunrise and Ceremony have had FM and DVB broadcasts on at least two occasions, probably more.

Not sure about Elegia - but that has had a legit release on Retro.

Just managed to get the BBC CD on ebay for 3 quid.

Gutted it doesn't include those other songs!

Yeah I've seen in the niagara discography some mention of a BBC Transcription disc which to me has a much better track listng.

How can I get a copy of this or some other format (bootleg, CD-R, mp3, whatever) with these songs on it recorded from soundboard? Is there someone on here that has something and is willing to help a new guy out? :) Dunno what I could offer in return but we might be able to work something out.

PS- FrogChorus, still sounds like a pretty good deal. I remember paying nearly $30 (about £15-20) for my import copy back when it first came out.

yeah it is a great bargain despite missing tracks. if anyone is feeling nice, could they also hook me up with the missing songs so i can complete the gig?

i always thought it might be an idea to attempt to join the video footage with the BBC recording (same with reading 93 and electronic ecstasy). it would probably be a bit too disjointed sound wise.

It has already been attempted Ron, copies 'weeded' on the Thieves forum if you're interested.

The full soundboard recording of Reading 93 (a transfer of the BBC Transcription Services LP) is already in circulation - no need to fanny about on that score.

True...granted I've never heard the uncut gig, but it does seem to be missing a good core song i.e. Subculture, Ceremony...I've said it before and I'll say it again...If yer not gonna do it right the first time, don't bother

the thing is that we know that at least some professionally shot video footage must exist for Glasto 87 as the True Faith live video clip bits come from this gig.

i wonder if we'll ever get to see more of that.

I personally would love to see as much footage from that gig as possible....I always fancied the version of True Faith showing more footage (esp. the part where a pished-up Barney wrecks the gear at the end, gets me everytime )
