was the "A Collection" DVD fixed?

Last year I got the new "best of" DVD and was very disappointed with the whacking great glitch right at the beginning of the "Perfect Kiss" video. Does anyone know if this fault was fixed on subsequent pressings..?

Also, while I'm here - is there a reason why the UK Region 2 DVDs are in NTSC (not PAL) format??

My Aussie version is NTSC too :(

I don't know about the "subsequent" pressings, I've got the North American release and was gutted with that little glitch, right at the key moment when Gillian summons the Voyetra 8's to life.

agreed. A NO DVD was a dream of mine but, now I have it, I can't stand to watch it as it's flawed... If anyone can confirm if this glitch has been fixed, it would make me mucho happy.. :)

I picked up the NA Reg. 1 version when it first came out and mine is fine. TPK is one of my favorite parts of the dvd.

I hadn't noticed it before, but mine has it as well. It's not that bad, considering my VHS Substance video looks and sounds far worse.

They did pick a pretty nasty source for the DVD, though. There are some film artifacts in the picture and the audio is obviously not perfect. Most of the problems are towards the beginning, though. I guess it's still pretty good considering all the film sources were 20 years old and probably not very well preserved.

agreed that should have tried harder to find better source tapes. the ones our ABC runs every so often seem to be in better condition. my biggest bug is still the sound in blt which becomes slightly muffled about 3/4 in and clears up again just toward the end. this also happens in my old vhs copies.

i never noticed anything really wrong with the perfect kiss vid.
i just checked. yes there is a slight picture glitch there. they could have at least tried to clean those vids up a bit.

My Brazilian NTSC Region 4 has the annoying glitch as well.

I was really pissed off when I first noticed it.
