Close to a Perfect New Order tune. mmm A set like a Berlin set with Lonesome tonite DNE Face Up ( yes Love that tune, has nothing to do with running into an ex-Flame-ish last night -of course.) and Thieves Like Us.

Both sides of Fac103 have gotten a lot of play on my turntable... probably more than any other 12". Both songs are among my absolute favorites.

Great song - great outro, always finishes too soon for my liking.

I've been trying to figure out the next verse -- something like "and you saw my naked..."

Pope. Churchy :\pimp3: :hat: Mentioned Thieves because was checking out the 84 and 85 Concert set lists. Be very nice to hear 586 played again. And Mr. Disco was only played live 88 through 89. There already are some t-rrific recordings of Procession, EGG, LMA . .

agree with all above, Lonesome Tonight is one of the best New Order songs....

the long outro especially, with Hook just totally Hookjestic...

regal, shakespearian, majestic, and utterly somber in the best way.

(but don't be hating Thieves Like Us... that 12" is clearly the one new order 12" you'd want on your desert island...)

edit p.s. All Day Long has a similar majestic ending, and is also one of their best songs in every way....

Yep,agreed The outro should last at least a week for me :thumb:

The Thieves Like Us 12in is close to being the perfect record, a great a-side and a simply awesome b-side. Thankfully CDs hadn't been invented then, or the whole thing would have been swamped with largely mediocre remixes.

I'll 'third' that - the same goes for the outro to KW1...

Same here - Hooky's bass is immense from the first note of the intro.

Can you move back - there's people getting kneecapped at the front here...

Great, five minutes of that drumming and bass line would be enough, but then add Barney and Gillian and you've got a monster track.
