Youre in the right area - I've recalled it being described as a "Belsen Crop" back in 1983 when The Order were just breaking big with "Blue Monday".

I grew my skinhead out into a similar cut around 1985-86, but then it lasted aproximately six months before I went back to what I had earlier. Never looked too good on me to be honest, only cos my ears are a bit bigger than they ought to be!!!

Seen pictures of the Hitler Youth, it's more that 'style' after all, anyone at Belsen wouldn't have had much of a mullet left on!

I had a similar hairdo in the early 90s, back in middle school. There was no fade on the sides, but I did have the spiky stuff going on. I looked like a moron, so ever since I've prefered not to use any kind of gel in my hair (also, seeing how stiff David Schwimmer's hair appeared in Friends kinda turned me off to any kind of hair alteration using cream)
