BLT is a great "sing a long" song live, whilst Blue Mondsay at the end of the set is a "look around to see where my mates are" song.
Digital Mike - The Voice of Reason
Am I the only one who thinks that article is basically, well, bollocks? Readable and informative, but bollocks nonetheless.
BLT is more vague, lyrically? WTF!
It has a better sleeve?! What, cos the floppy disk (waaaay ahead of its time) cos Factory money?! Good!
A more cosmic video? (Has he not seen Blue Monday 88, the vid?)
A better drum break? Now that's just silly.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder I s'pose.
The only valid reasons here are 1, 3, and 4. What do I give a shit which song has a better sleeve?? It doesn't make it a better song. It's all about THE SONG, not all of this peripheral shit!
Having said that, BM used to be my favorite NO song but BLT and a couple of others have since passed it.
I can never take a reviewer who calls Barney 'Bernie' seriously and for that reason ,as they say on Dragon's Den, sorry but i'm out
I bet 'Bernie' would love that interpretation of the true meaning of BLT's lyrics... ![]()
