Substance ReRecords

I was listening to Substance today and thought of a question.

Is there any particular reason the band rerecorded Temptation and Confusion? Were they not happy with the original single versions? Is it because the songs had changed some live during the time between their original releases and Substance?

Thanks.

I always thought or did somewhere that they re-recorded Temptation and Confusion so they could fit the 12 first singles or so into 74 minutes of CD. Original Temptation is round 8 or 9 minutes and Confusion also, i.e. the 12 inch ones. Also has been mentioned that the band was not to happy with the rush job with Confusion so the original track didn´t reach the potential it could have.
