Does anyone here love every NO album?

I may be one of the few, but I honestly love every single album the band has ever put out. Even albums that at first I thought were sub par like Republic and Technique (very early on) I have grown a deep fondness for. And what's more, I don't think I have a preference for any particular album. To me every album brings something uniquely wonderful to the table and I worship them all for this. I think Movement and WFTSC are their weakest works, but I still love listening to them (I will admit that Movement is a bit more difficult sometimes because it's so depressing and is basically "Joy Order" to me. I too love Joy Division, but at this stage in my life I try to listen to uplifting music, as I'm trying to climb out of my depression. And even though I love every album, I don't want to hear about Barney singing about how rich he is and how lucky he is that he doesn't have to have a day job like everyone else. It's almost as if he's rubbing it in our faces. Other than that, WFTSC is a great album to listen to before going to sleep. And it's definitely a record that makes me want to go to bars and party.

as an often depressed person i must say that i find movement uplifting and one of my faves...

I'm going to be frank: I don't own Republic or Get Ready. I know most of the songs off them, and their singles, sans Regret, are at the bottom of my NO top 40. (I do rather like Special, though.) Someday those two albums will find a place in my library, but they aren't priorities However, the Pogues' reissues are!

So its down to me to get in the ring for Movement! I think its a good album,and the bridge from Closer to PCL. It was a big step and under the conditions,think it was good.

Movement is a rockin' bastard! From the opening song to Denial. Some of Steve's besting drumming that is not buried behind a wall of electronics. Great energy tunes like Chosen Time, Senses and Denial. Too bad the production was not better but still a killer lp.

Apart from Technique, which is simply perfect, the other albums are by and large tip top with just the odd duff track here & there.

My main difficulty has been getting into Movement. Some great tracks but I've not listened to it right through in more than a decade.

Today, I'll stick it in the player and give it a fresh whirl...

I've not played Republic in years, since there is little point in doing so (especially the second side). It's the only one where there are more tracks that I dislike than I like.

Movement I don't play either, but I've been really enjoying the tracks from it that were played at the Ayr 1983 gig.

Get Ready and WFTSC have tracks that I'll skip over but I can listen to the other albums from start to finish. And then play them again. And again.

In a word, yes, I 'love' all NO's albums... None perfect, none my all-time favourite, but each very special in it's own way...

Lowlife and Brotherhood,with nearly every song a winner.Top Albums.

The other albums are hit and miss for me,with standout wonderful tracks e.g AOC DNE YSF Regret etc mixed with not so good ones..

I really don't like WFTSC, however apart from that i do like them all, even Republic although i have to be in the right mood for it. If I had an order of preference it would be, 1.PCL 2.Technique, Movement 3.Low-Life,Brotherhood 4.Republic,Get Ready 5.WFTSC

They're all great in their own unique way

I love them all. Obviously I have my favourites (Technique/Brotherhood) and it depends what mood I'm in. But there's definitely none I don't like.

I would not quite say that I love them all (I still don't own Movement), but I do like them all. For me each one has their strengths and weaknesses and I do enjoy listening to them and the songs on them.

I feel bad for my co-workers since I keep bringing in MP3 discs to work that are 80% New Order and 20% other Euro style bands from the 80's since this past May

I love every single album to be quite honest. And, as usual, I have to point out that Movement is my all-time favorite album ever pretty much. And seriously, burn yourself a copy of Movement with this tracklisting and try to tell me it doesn't flow and that you don't love it.

The Movement alt. tracklist is a very interesting way of looking at things- just imagine that as a double album 1st release- the critics would have shot their load!

I got to admit, I do, though I don't like every single track on it. :)

I don't believe I have all the albums, but I do have 374 unique bootleg NO gigs, Live everytime for me
