Completely unconnected to anything, but does anyone remember a competition in select magazine (RIP) around the time of republic where you had to select your favorite ten new order tracks, the winner getting a cd made of their choice with an "exclusive" track only available to the winner on the end?
i always wondered what that track was, possibly let's go or the happy one...anyone know...or maybe the winners out there...
Yeah I entered it too and did a most excellent CD cover depicting the band members as Blancmanges (Barney, Steve and Gillian) and a Meat Pie (Hooky), plus some Paul Morley-esque sleeve notes too. Class!!
As for Select never being very reliable with telling us what the winner got....sod em! They folded eventually, whilst MY compilation still survives - and flourishes - to this day!

Well, Shuggy, Martian is only back for a limited period only - as soon as I've opened up the can of worms that is Room 101 again - I'm jumping ship once more... :D :D
