Live Sets 2001 ?

Don’t want to hear NO hacking their way thru’ JD classics. Fed up with Blue Monday too but can’t see them changing the set every night like they used to. Think they're getting lazy but they did spoil us before. Unfortunately there’s also the awful prospect of Gillespie wailing on the terrible Rock the Shack so if I could choose the setlist it would be something like this:

just out of curiosity....why no JD? Its not as if it's fecking Steps covering "Atmosphere", they are their songs anyways....personally, im looking forward to hearing some JD stuff played. They have all these amazing tracks at their disposal and it seems a bleeding tragedy (oooh Steps again! lol) that we never get to hear them....

Any of these would be fantastic -

Transmission, Twenty Four Hours, Dead Souls, Day Of The Lords, Passover, Shadowplay...

atmosphere and lwtua were great live and isolation done by n.o. is very good but...what about all the new order songs that have not been played in years. they have enough of their "own" songs to perform. 2 songs from Technique is not a lot to ask for from what many consider their pinnacle. what about Way of Life and As it is When it Was or All Day Long or Elegia, Ceremony, Thieves Like Us, 1963, Procession...plus the new songs. with approximately an hour to fill they have so many to choose from that Joy Division songs should be limited to special occaisions. Maybe they should consider longer sets so they can properly represent their back catalogue. i like new order better than i like joy division so obviously i want to hear their own material. i do like some jd stuff "no love lost" comes to mind as do the regular favorites but it would be so incredible to hear some of the above mentioned tunes while they're on top form.

It sounds a bit selfish but I think I've seen them do all those songs you mentioned so I'm biased toward some Division stuff! Back in 89 here in Blighty they did 1963, Dream Attack, Ceremony, Vanishing Point & Mr Disco during one gig at the NEC. The trouble is that this 'might' be their last tour so you've got to make the most of it...

All Day Long would be nice though...
