I got a letter from the Bournemouth BIC yesterday saying that the gig on the 9th has been moved upstairs to another, much smaller room.

I checked this out with a friend who works there, and ticket sales have been very lacklustre, they have been moved to a 2,500 capacity hall and still have around 750 tickets left to sell!

I'm really bummed about this, don't understand why they can't sell out here being such a massive band. But still, it should be a more personal atmosphere!

Doesn't sound like it's being well promoted.

There has been zero promotion so far. In fact, Alan Wise still hasn't sent the tickets out to the ticket companies, I had a mail from Ticketline saying that they hadn't received any tickets yet to send out to their paying customers......fook knows what he's playing at!

New Order are NOT a massive band.

ask anyone in the street to name three tunes, and they'll just give you a blank puzzled look.

Bournemouth...they should sack the manager over it.

There's been zero promotion around the Bournemouth area for the show either.

It's pretty pisspoor as well considering the ticket price, I know the surroundings shouldn't *really* make a huge difference but I'd rather see them in a packed out Windsor Hall (which has a great new sound system) than in one of the smaller upstairs rooms.

See what happens on Monday week!

Regarding this Bournemouth show. Anyone know what the plan is for the setlist, etc? An email from WIM website I received a while back said

Bournemouth, big and plush is an attempt at the more fun and unusual shows that we ran with the Band at their peak in the eighties.

I know this will be the anniversary of the forming of Warsaw/Joy Division, but already have my ticket to see 'em at Wembley later the same month. Wouldn't want to miss out on something special in Bournemouth though - anyone know if this'll be the Joy Division-only set that Hooky's been talking about a few times?

It seems I still have time to arrange a ticket, from what is said above...

I doubt they would play a JD set only,it wouldn't be right unless they advertised the fact.I really like JD stuff but if I pay for a ticket to see NO I wouldn't be best pleased turning up and not hearing any NO songs!

I think they will play more stuff off albums like Tecnique, maybe a bit more dancey???:)

30th anniverary show should always be at home, shouldn't it?

And with something new to flog as opposed to just because they feel like it.
