Ok so were getting towards the (uk) festival season now. How about a few ideas for your personal one day fantasy festival: 10 performers/bands, one stage. And to keep it interesting you can only choose two 'deceased' groups. If i can be bothered I'll tot up the scores and put together the ultimate line up according to the votes:

i'll start the ball rolling (headliner first):

New Order Pixies Pavement (playing at sunset) Stereolab PJ Harvey Kraftwerk (technically still going) Delgados Boards of Canada The Strokes John Williams conducting the London Symphony Orchestra!

Beat that!

Well I'd remove The Strokes from that list first and foremost cuz I think they're pants. And substitute the John Williamns orchestra from Ennio Morricone's instead (for those wide open windswept spaces....you know?). I'd retain the rest of the bands but change the order a little and add to them these:

a reformed Leatherface a reformed Husker Du a reformed Big Black The Breeders Arab Strap Flaming Lips Squarepusher and Aphex Twin together!

:cool2: :cool2:

Seeing as it's a fantasy - I'd split it into a 3 dayer;)

Friday 60's & 70's The Beatles, The Stones, The Doors, The Kinks, Bob Dylan.

Saturday 70's - 80's Bowie, The Faces, Sex Pistols, The Clash, Joy Division

Sunday 80's - Now Madness, Charlatans, Happy Mondays, James, New Order

Now That'd be good:nod:

YOU ARE RIGHT...I WOULD HAVE TO GET THEM THROWN OFF STAGE...I WENT TO SEE THEM AT NOTTINGHAM ROCK CITY A FEW YEARS BACK...AND AFTER A STORMING SET THEY CAME OUT AND PLAYED THAT AS AN ENCORE....BUT THEY CAN STILL PLAY AT MY FANTASY FESTIVAL..

Just so long as they promise...

Saw them at Wolverhampton not so long ago and thay still insist on playing it, don't they realise that advertising a shite mobile phone company isn't rock 'n' roll? :nonono:

THEY DO PUT ON A GOOD SHOW...EVEN THOUGH THE BARBER FROM HELL INSISTS ON CUTTING ALL THE BANDS HAIR...CHASING RAINBOWS IS MY ALL TIME FAV NON NEW ORDER TRACK.

For Shed 7 I'd go for Disco Down or Chasing Rainbows, all time non NO song would be a toss up between Come On Eileen and One to Another
