Just to let you know...

NewOrder's "60 miles an hour" is featured on a CD-sampler that comes with the newest issue of germany's alternative magazine "Visions". Along with NewOrder's track, there are songs from Biohazard (!), Rollins Band (!), Cake (!) and System of a down (!)...a weird mixture isn't it ???

Interested in the magazine ??? Check www.visions.de, there's also a nice review of "Get Ready"

cheers Marco

My goodness... New Order are getting heavy promotion in Germany and Australia!!!!

Why can't it be the same in North America? I'm sure it will be lousy!!!!!!!

I am getting the sense that Warner Records understands that they have a very strong product here and that they are prepared to put some effort into this. After all, this is not a small company (AOL Time Warner). I hope the effort succeeds.

... Marco, I thought you'd gone and left us.

Can't get hold of any music from that 'Cake' band can you, sounds fucking tremendous.

Had chance to digest Get Ready properly yet? - I'm starting to think its possibly THE best NO album to date. Turn My Way, Primitive Notion, Run Wild, Someone Like You.... so many outstanding tracks. Maybe I've been knocked over by a bus and am in fact in heaven... and god's got his little cd player going for himself.

Well, Huntsman, Cake is a pretty good American band. 4 albums so far, but a fabulous second one named "Fashion Nugget" with a timeless classic opening it called "Frank Sinatra". They got some fame for their all guitars and trumpet cover of "I Will Survive" on that same album.

Tend to agree with you. By nature I'm pretty critical of most things, but this album has everything. Quite possibly the best thing they've ever done.

OK that's IT, I am moving to the UK. I bet you get a CD sampler when you buy a damn DONUT!!!!! I am sure they won't even give out freebies with the damn album...doesn't the US appreciate them????? :(

Well April, relax.. in Canada we didn't even get Crystal until yesterday... :D

I was robbed by HMV when I bought the CD from their online site, I got the UK one :(

My fault, I should check my own site for release dates, or HMV should but if it's domestic or imported!!

No, i'm not gone, just listening non-stop to "Get Ready :D

Well, i know it's very risky to say, but slowly but surely "Ret Ready" becomes my favourite NewOrder-Album. I know it's always a bit difficult to say so, because new stuff always sounds lot better than the songs you already know by heart. But i even tend like "Slow Jam" ;) Yeah "Get Ready" is a real grower, i really got into "Run Wild" and i think "Close Range" would be a better second single than "60 miles an hour". But at least "Primtive Notion" will always be my favourite track on the album

cheers
