Hooky & Steve just on bbc6 radio...

short bits I do remember:

• no US tourdates. Sorry guys.
• Hooky found a tape from the very first New Order gig..
• they joked about the moshpit in Newcastle, how it was completely over 45... (in relation to feeling ridiculous themselves for still doing this, especially now they're sober)
• they picked Hot Chip's Over & Over to be played (yeah! love them.)
• joked about having to torture Barney in to touring
• future plans.. Steve looking for adds in the supermarket (drummer wanted?) No luck there yet
• they just wanted to tour, so Singles came out to support the tour (instead of the other way around)

sorry I didn't post about this earlier (great timing! right after it finished!) but I only fell into it by luck "After this song, we interview Hooky & Morris" (I think he even called him Morrissey at one point :D but I might be wrong)

It's already on the bbc website. Might as well listen from the start, as the show starts with Temptation.

The interview proper starts at 4 h 34 min or so (choose the Jupitus Tuesday show, naturally) with TLU playing first.

Nice story from Hooky about the Suite 16 tapes.

Regarding live recordings: What did hooky say?! "We are just putting one of those out? ULU..."

Can anyone get anything confirmed from Andy Robinson on that one?

Surely Hooky knows, as we do, that the Beach Club gig mastertape is part of the Rob Gretton archive.

There will be a couple of live recordings accompanying the Unknown Pleasures and Closer remasters, that much I do know. Exactly which gigs we don't know yet.

Hm, Gideon Coe just said something about Bernard Sumner in the intro of his show I didn't quite catch.. in the "On today's show..." bit. His show is also on radio bbc6, by the way.

He just told a story about a bad dating experience. Met a girl once who spoke a bit funny, and he eventually found out she had no teeth. He didn't mind it much though
