Just got my Palatine box set out to make an mp3 disc and discovered that the box, CD inserts and CD's themselves have got mould all over them!

I'm quite cross now.

Not Good,

You should let Peter Saville know, I feel he has yet to design a sleeve featuring real mould.

Knowing Saville, maybe it was all planned way back in 1990?

In the same way that he meant all the Republic era CD's to go that horrible brown colour?

youre lucky, I lost my palatine box years ago whilst moving flat. You scrape off the mould and sell it on ebay!!!!

But would it add value?

Having made the mp3 disc and shoved it in the player, shuffle mode produced nothing but A Certain Ratio tracks. I blame the mould entirely.

My Republic CD is also brown, It sounds fine, although it is quite difficult to hear Hooky's Bass on some of the tracks!

So the mould blanks out most of the crap(excluding JD & NO obviously) & leaves quality then! Excellent! I'll have nothing bad said bout the Ratio!:nono:  :thumb:

Saw a 4xCD go on eBay for about £59 recently - no noticeable mould!

I just can't bring myself to buy it cos I know I've probably got the tracks (I'll like) many times over and remastered on other CDs. Still a mega-cool item to have in yer NO collection though :thumb:

I'm saving my pennies for the French Palatine promo CD with The Happy One excerpts at the moment.

Maybe it had mould because you were storing it alongside your cheesy 80s stuff, OB?

Perhaps move it away from Brother Beyond, Hazell Dean, Big Fun, etc.

Just a thought.

I went to look at a flat on Platine Road last week. That was covered in mould as well.

Do I, can I, could I win £40, please?

Mrs OB:- For that, Clive's penance will be four hours of Slayer and Pantera. F**king Hostile - that's me

Sounds like you two are going through a rough patch.

Can I interest you in a DVD from my well-documented European collection to help patch things over?
