As far as I know he's only ever played Cherry ones. They do look a deep brown with some stage lights. Never seen him with an ivory one though.
In some rough order of playing, he's used:
SG copy Shergold Masquerader Gibson 330 ? Vox Delta VI/Phantom VI (can't always tell which) Gibson 335 Strat (85/86) SG Rickenbacker for LWTUA
no doubt there are others as well that I've forgotten before I get some coffee in the system!

Grrrrrr.
That's the strat I referred to 85/86. Couldn't remember if it was a Tokai or not, and forgot he was still using it in June 87. It's the one he threw on the floor during Sunrise at the Hacienda in December 85.
apparently he had a few of the Tokai Strats. They were customised to feature EMG pickups too.
There was also a twelve string one (as seen when they played 'Dream Attack' on Big World Cafe)

Twelve strings? Jesus, Barney has trouble with one string!!!![]()
I am pretty sure that in 1981 in New Order he also played an Epiphone Dot (335 copy) occasionally.

Thanks for the info OM. I was thinking about buying a Gibson SG custom as used by New Order (with authenication papers whatever they are) I saw for sale in a guitar mag 1600 quid, now I don't think I'll bother. Ta
