I believe on the big screen the credits at the end of 24HrPP do actually say 'Here to Stay' was written by (amongst others) Gillian Gilbert.
Though don't quote me on that - got that from Johnny Giles.
Not sure who this Gillian Gilbert is anyways? She was masquerading as Gillian Morris according to her luggage tags in Perth (got that one from Johnny G too ;) ).

She's on the electoral roll as Gillian Morris now. As I said though, she didn't record the song in a nutshell.

I've got a CD of the electoral roll - it's part of my job. I looked them up out of curiosity. Couldn't find anyone called Joe Public though ;)

There was one show where she triggered the sequencer to start Your Silent Face, and a few seconds in she pressed a wrong 'un, and Temptation started playing for a few seconds. Can't remember her ever doing anything positive, outstanding or even remotely good/out of the ordinary, I only remember the bum notes and rather strange-sounding guitar playing.

According to Songfile.com (the online music licensing arm of the Harry Fox Agency, who cuts the checks when, say, Orgy records a cover), a large number of early New Order tunes were co-written by one G. Gerber. For example:
SENSES (ASCAP) S. MORRIS, P. HOOK, B. DICKEN, G. GERBER
More frightening, though, is the Order's forgotten fifth member:
RUN (CONTAINS: 'LEAVING ON A JET PLANE') (ASCAP) JOHN DENVER, STEPHEN MORRIS, BERNARD SUMNER, GILLIAN GILBERT

Don't get me wrong, I like Gillian, but on stage (especially playing guitar), she never really looked at ease with her playing. Kind of looked like a beginner looking at her fretboard so that she wouldn't hit a bum note. But I loved her for that ... Just made everything more interesting ... I can't ever imagine Gillian breaking into one huge guitar solo ...

Forgotten Hooky already have you Gnu? Or is that from too much daydreaming about our new band to be produced by Kevin Shields then? :D :D
Isn't the fact that she couldn't play for shit the precise reason why they went with her? (Besides the Steve factor.)

I remember her smiling at ONE gig
Ally Pally 98 - when Bez was showing Barney how to do the "acid" dance properly

I thought I read somewhere that she won't have anything else to do with the band until her breasts are the biggest of all the band members...
