You mean there is a version different from the one released on CD, with no fadeouts?. Prolly an old bootleg.
the only version i have heard fades out between songs but i heard there is a version where it is a complete recording?not up on the ins and outs of bootlegs just looking for a good recording of my favourite band live to show others that its not all love will tear us apart but angry and loud!

you not got the official CD?.. it fades out a little, but its an excellent recording. There's another new thread about it which is down the list a bit.

your attitude reminds me why i dont bother with these forums usually.full of sad nit-picking pedants who offer no advise and snigger like schoolboys at the honest ignorance of others.thanks for nothing
How to win friends and influence people, the NOOL way!
There is a full audience recording of this Paris show, sound quality isn't bad but isn't as good as on the Les Bains Douches release. The FM radio version, from which this was taken (hence the fades in/out to remove the presenter talking over everything) is incomplete, they only broadcast around half the gig at the time, and a second airing in 1982 happened to coincide with New Order playing in Paris that night, we still don't know if anyone taped it off the radio!
Bear in mind that "Les Bains Douches" the release also contains songs played at other gigs (was it Amsterdam and Eindhoven?), so you'd be looking for the good quality audience recordings of those two as well.
ahm ok. hoestly i think they were trying to be helpful. i just put mine on and honestly i can't really detect any gaps. FACD 2.61. get the official copy. ![]()

Where did NMC get the recording from then? A collector or the radio station itself?
.

Mate - they were genuinely trying to be helpful...
Hopefully THIS PAGE explains the 'gaps' issue. It also links to a list of 'complete' bootleg versions of the gig.

I've always been wondering if this "audience" recording isn't actually a soundboard. I've compared the tracks on both versions ("aud" and FM) and they sound exactly the same (audience noise included, although some audience noise seems to be cut on the "aud"). The sound quality of the "aud" is much lower, but it is complete.
