Anyone see the Paul weller Doc on BBC2 last night? he sighted JD as an influence on Sound Affects. More inportantly, a clip of JD doing she's lost control on a tv show was shown, but it definitely wasn't Something Else. I'd never seen it before-anyone know where it was from?

What's On.

Some people at Joy Division Central recorded it, so we might get to see it soon.

It's the only time that footage has been shown since original broadcast.

Hopefully it will be on the long awaited DVD...

I would'nt get too excited,it was only a 15 second clip.I've got it on tape, but would'nt have a clue how to transfer it to these boards I will have to have another look, but i think I.C has a silly side parting.

Thanks for the info. Surprised they used this rather than Something Else, as on that they're performing in front of a massive picture of the Jam! Hopefully this What's On clip will now be on the dvd-must say i'd never realised this appearance existed.

There are reasons why it wouldn't be, the performance is cut short and the credits roll over the end - but the fact that someone has gone to the trouble of dusting it off for a 15-second clip on a documentary bodes well.

If you really can't wait then you could buy the full 'What's On' episode that it came from at the ITN Source (but it's around £100 per half hour):

Region 2, though (not sure if that's compatible with my DVD player  )

Though I could probably watch it on my computer, no problem :D

Methinks a Christmas present for myself I doth see :thumb:

Hold your horses there Tabbsy. If you just found "Under Review" then don't bother, it's unofficial.

Next year, allegedly, will see the release of an official DVD by Michael Schamberg that will hopefully bring together all the known footage. "Here Are The Young Men" is also getting a separate, official release some time soon.

Consider the horses held, even though they're itching to get running :thumb:

The "under review" DVD looked kinda shady. I remember getting an "unofficial" video about John Lennon for Christmas once, it had no Beatles music and an endless segment where the Beatles are traveling on a train. Yawn-fest

if you have a problem with region codes ....

i have a cyberhome, paid 30$ @ BestBuy, There is a bios hack you can do with the remote to set region code. i set mine to "0". many other DVD players have this feature.

Bloody BRIT outstanding contribution thief!

Still 2007 may be an even better chance for them to nab a joint NO/JD award.

I'd say don't get 'Under Review' unless you're a completist... Very little video footage/music and mostly journalists giving their opinions on Joy Division.

Okay to watch on a boring, rainy Wednesday afternoon when you can't be bothered with anything else.
