imdb.co.uk has a 'Morrissey' appearing in the cast-list for 24Hr Party People, played by James Cartwright?

Have they got this right, or did they really mean Steven Morris, as there isn't a Steve Morris namechecked and some imdb wag could've got the two Steves confused?

If a 'Morrissey' character really was supposed to be in it, is he perhaps the lad who tries to give Tony Wilson a flower before Ian's funeral? I'm lost...

A MISPRINT ME THINKS...THE MOZZER WAS NEVER REALLY INVOLVED IN THE FACTORY SCENE...I WONDER HOW MUCH THE TWO BANDS ACTUALLY GOT ON..(N.O AND THE SMITHS)...OBVIOUSLY THEY BOTH HAD HARD CORE FOLLOWERS BUT THERE WAS ALSO A GROUP OF "FLOATERS" WHO WENT EITHER WAY...BUT IM SAD TO SAY IN THE LATE 80s AND 90s THE SMITHS SOLD MORE RECORDS AND SOLD OUT THERE GIGS FASTER....I REMEMBER THE ROYAL COURT GIG AT LIVERPOOL...SMITHS..THE ORDER...THE FALL....85% OF THE AUDIENCE HAD COME FOR THE SMITHS...I THINK NEW ORDER REALISED THIS AND CAME ON FIRST AND PLAYED FOR ABOUT 35 MINS...AND I HAD A NIGHTMARE GETTIN A TICKET FOR THAT GIG..

My cousin whispered exactly the same question to me during that scene. Unfortunately, I wasn't paying attention properly because I was mentally talking myself out of the idea that the first bloke Wilson sees (the one that gives him the tape) was supposed to be Kevin Hewick.

If it wasn't him it'll probably be on the DVD.

It's not a misprint... James Cartwright was playing Moz in the film, only the scene in which he appeared didn't make the final cut. So yes - it'll probably be on the DVD.

I heard a rumor that Mozza himself was actually making a cameo as a journalist interviewing someone from the band, but that was probably just a rumor and untrue...

Wasn't Mozzer supposed to be at the Sex Pistols gig? I think the book refers to this.

Mozzer collaberated in the very early stages and couple of smiths choons were pencilled in, then the he decided he wanted nothing to do with film and and went off in a tizz

Being the sad individual I am, I went to see it again tonight. The bloke with the flower it seemed to me was possibly Robert Smith?

More disturbingly for me as I made my buddies stay for the credits to hear Here to Stay, I noticed 'flashing before my eyes - 'Other Girl in Nosh Van - (whoever it said) then noticed above it, '(again whoever it said) - played by Collette someone'

Somebody please tell me it didn't say First Girl in Nosh Van! :nonono:

The proof, as they say, is in the pudding:

Apparently the Moz wouldn't let the producers use his music. How uncharacteristic.

And where does that feature in the film?

I've seen it twice and he still doesn't register. Christ I'm thick/ stupid/ blind/ all 3?

It's featured on the cutting room floor..

And is it just me, or does he look more like Norm McDonald with big hair more than he does the Moz?
