Speeing car = Liar Fire = Young Offender
Surely Fire = Liar (since they rhyme and given that one's pants can easily be set on fire by the act of dissembling)... And Speeding Car = Young Offender (since the youth of today seem to spend an awful lot of time pimping their rides, doing donuts and nicking/joyriding/setting fire to motors)

I wasn't mocking Saville before at all. I think it's a great cover.
I took it as just L.A. and what they all agreed suited it.

Saville talks during the whole thing and there's a huge section on the making of Republic, with all the photo ideas he had at the time and presented to the band among a lot of other things.

The fire on this sleeve reminds me some Massive Attack artwork. Quite interestingly, the music on some tracks seems to be influenced by Massive Attack as well (Special, for instance).
