Favourite intros?

Mine's Shadowplay, that simple bass rumble that heralds all hell breaking loose live (back in the day, these days it's far more muted). Listen to the Birmingham High Hall version to see what I mean!

Ceremony!

I've always been partial to the intro of Novelty as well

Age of Consent's intro rocks the house.

I like the intro to Sunrise, but Ceremony is close. DNE and Procession are up there

Eligia. Especially when played first in the set, as at GMEX 1986. Purple lights, swaying crowd, slow, slow, slow build until suddenly, without you realising, it has mutated into an undanceable, but awe-inspiring, track.

Got cut-down versions of DNE and Ceremony in mp3 on me mobile just cos I think they're classic intros and would be cool as a ringtone.

Have never bothered using either though.

Who's Joe has a very very good intro.

But there are so many, it's impossible to choose.

My best ending has to be Run, but that's something else ;)

Sunrise live is fantastic, also Ceremony, temptation, regret and krafty, crystal is good nut doesn't seem to kick enough when the drums come in, it could rock but seems to miss everytime.

as for JD, LWTUA, thrashy, punky and lively, instant crown pleaser.

I do love the slow stuff, but live needs to be lively for me.

Transmission was the first I heard, I was totally transfixed by the intro.

Ceremony......of course

Really love the intro to Atrocity Exhibition, it totally suits Ian's lyrics.

Of course, there's always Dead Souls, Shadowplay, Age Of Consent, etc.

JD: shadowplay--the bass with the guitar gently coming in.

NO: temptation 7"--the synths with the high guitar sounds breaking it up.
