You often see Bernard with a glass of wine in his hand (always white) seen in various interviews, backstage etc before a gig. What wine do you think he favours? Is he a Chablis drinker or a Pinot Grigio????? Any thoughts

He likes Chardonnay I think - why are you going to send him a crate?

He had red wine at Wolves (or another of the recent gigs)

That will add a few more elements to your evaluation!

Surely Bernard's whine is about not having enough time on the yacht.

Was just about to say, I thought he'd had red wine at all the recent gigs? Or was it just a dark coloured glass (but then, how would you not what was in it?)?!

Anyone got photographic evidence? The truth it out there.

I can send you a copy on DVD, it may even work too.

I have no idea about now, but wasn't he a big fan of asti spumante? Often mixed with Pernod to create a drink apparently called a "headache"....powerful stuff, and having tried it, I can say you should avoid it if at all possible cos it lives up to it's name.

Bernard's whine.... probably something along the lines of 'I hate fucking touring...I'm bored...Can I play the drums for a change....are we there yet?...I wanna be on me boat.'

Take one pint pot, add a Double Pernod, a glass of Asti Spumante and then fill it up with orange juice. That's the headache. Bet you can't drink three!

just because a man needs an autocue to remind him of a song he wrote 5 minutes ago, and has eyes like piss holes in the snow, you accuse him of being smaked up wino from salford!

How very, very dare you!

If it is alcohol and potable, I think Barney has seen it a few times down his gullet.

He is getting the sort of middle-aged red nose and slightly gamey look lately like at that Virgin store opening.

I sort of remember 20 years ago an cartoon and column that Barney and Hooky needed to smile more and need a bit of a roast and pudding to get their cheeks back to normal

Maybe he needs to go back to the boat for awhile?
