Why not just release them as an EP? If New Order is truly over as the often full of shit Peter Hook says so, wouldn't that be a fitting close to their career? I really want to hear those songs. What if they're miles better than "Jetstream" and "Krafty"????

That would be wonderful but...

The tracks are not complete. The record company isn't exactly demanding new product. A 7 track EP? Has there ever been one?

That isn't what he said. All he said was that Argentina might have been the last time they played live.

it'd be funny to see peter chase you around in an audience you won't be so full of shit cos it will be spouting from yer arse after being chased by a kick ass bassist.

Fook me I've heard it all now. The world-famous MLANH is saying that Hooky is "full of shit". Yo Kettle!

I know you come in for some shit on here mate, but it's justified if you go around posting that the Hook is full of shit.If you do read this forum, you might notice that said person is regarded as a bit of a low-slung Viking bass-God around here who has a hell of a lot of time & respect for his adoring, loyal worshippers.Or maybe it was a joke?? Apologies, that's sooo funny!!! Haha!!:skeptic:  :thumb:

P.S. & Krafty is fookin' sweet too!!! :nono: :thumb:

Why the hell would we want them to release the seven remaining songs when we could have a best of instead? Yer daft bastard!

I can see it now, abandoned - the best of the stuff that wasn't good enough in the first place, saville can do a nice sleve with the marie celeste on it, barney would like that too!

They could do a DVD of videos for songs that never got released while they're at it! :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Oh no!!!

I love New Order's music... but NO MORE VIDEOS!

Last ones are just plain sad.

Peter Hook is probably my favorite member of New Order, but he strikes me as the type who doesn't always say what he means during interviews, sort of like Pete Townshend. I didn't mean any disrespect to Hook by saying that. I worship the Hookster.

I think Hooky says EXACTLY what he means :evil4:

Although he has been known to take the piss...

I think you're way off line again there,Hooky has always meant exactly what he says for as long as I've folowed N.O. & read/listened to interviews, apart from when taking the piss, like Wasim says:nono: :thumb:

I haven't heard of a 7 track EP. The closest thing I heard of this (and also own) is an 8 track EP released by the Dead Kennedys: In God We Trust. Actually, I own the remastered version of Plastic Surgery Disasters, where the album and the EP are on one disc.

back in the good ol days 7 songs would have almost been enough for a new order album. now there's an idea.

just add on an instrumental say a cut down version of the saville soundtrack and release it as a one disc vinyl. lol

That reminds me a totally off-topic story. In that very EP, Biafra jokes in the beggining of "Nazi Punks Fuck Off" :

"This is 'Nazi Punks Fuck Off!', overproduced by Martin Hannett, take four."

I don't know why I brought that up....

And a class song it is, too. :thumb:

I would like that!

Though I doubt my CD-Rom could play that one... :\ohwell:

Yes, thae last one I saw with the guy driving the truck and in the bear suit was not up to snuff. Just a split second picture of them on a casette cover in black and white.

Jetstream was pretty good surprisingly for a pop song but they have a niche as a lounge singing act with some female front singer. They need to go the Indian casino tour in America like William and Ree. Make a pile of money.

MLANH you should not antagonize Mr. Peter Hook too much...I think he could probably fold you in about four places:deal:

Maybe they just need to use good video directors, it's not that important if they don't want to appear on the videos (though I'd like that).

My recommendations: Uwe Flade, Stephane Sednaoui, Floria Sigismondi, Corbijn (of course) and Mark Romanek maybe.

I know there must be good directos out there available to make great vids for NO's songs.
