very true..
but somehow steven on cardboard boxes wouldn't have the same affect. better than discussing what colour pants barney has or how his hair looks. which I suppose 99.9% of music related journalism shite would still interesting to know what they use
Marco's right, but there has been quite some discussion recently as lots of us have interest in such matters. I don't want to start another synth debate but for what its worth - the most dissapointing aspect of Republic was the fact that I could identify the synths they used. All other NO albums I couldn't - they must have worked a lot harder on creating original sounds.. which brings me back to Marco - who has the ultimate point already stated.
huntsman,
you started a synth debate? on which thread? i'd like to read it. if it helps daniel b, all i know is that for the reading 98 festival steve's keyboard was a kurzweil. most likely a k2500. sorry, but my copy of the show ws a bad one.

It's all my fault,I'm afraid.Back in 1993 they were using a Roland JD-800 synth.Digital but with lots of sliders.I've been busy scanning articles from music equipment mags for the webmasters ,so expect to see them online shortly.
thanks huntsman! and i thought i was the only synth-head at this forum. it never thought to look at that thread cause i don't live in the uk, so i don't get totp2.
