Please, someone help the Huntsman out - this wasn't New Order but for the life of me I can't remember who wrote it?

Actually, it's just come to me - was it the Bridge, or something like that? Think it was their only ever single.

Admittedly, it does sound *very* New Order ish, though the vocals sound like Barney recorded from inside a dustbin.

Al me pal - not wanting to doubt you, but innocent until proved guilty on this one. Seems like only me and you have come across this oddball artefact. If it turns out NOT to be the Order, I'll send you a box of pringles through the post.

Doesn't seem to be there anymore but this geezer -

  • had it down as a Rarity Of The Week a few weeks back, but he appears to have removed the page now! He described it as 'part New Order, part Section 25'. Which it is!

Al me pal - I've been watching this particular post with much interest. Now I'm not wanting to doubt, its just that........

Hunts, listen to that vocal - it sounds fuck all like Our Barney.

Trust me, it's by The Bridge!

Are you starting a fight?

Jarvo... haven't listened to the tape since the 80's so my mind and memory could well be clouded. I didn't NOT think it was Barney at the time so I'm still out to be proved wrong. Was a genuine surprise to hear you say it wasn't them.

Nobody else's commenting so it must be a proper obscure piece of NO trivia. My mum bought me a Factory Records gold badge in the 80's - I'd say that was a decent collectible - not that that has anything to do with Love Crisp.

My only suggestion now is downloading Love Dance by The Bridge from audiogalaxy (just checked - there's copies listed) to see if sounds like the New Order track you have of the same name. Trust me, it will do.

PS. 'Fighting' is my middle name. My parents had a very warped sense of humour.

Well legging it out of any fight is my middle name, it shouldn't be Hunter, it should be... leg it.

Jarvo, I'll look out for you at Brixton... how the fuck have you managed to afford ALL gigs - are you a millionaire? - do you rob banks and smack bitches up?

Hunstman, I've been waiting 14 fucking years for a UK tour, so have had plenty of time to save! The travel's worked out quite cheaply too - done it all for approx 50 notes. And I've got mates in all ports so the accomodation is free!

Oh, and I work for an Investment Bank!

I'll doubtless see you at Mancland before Brixton!

Mmmm.... investment banker, doesn't that rhyme with something?

Al - I'm not the Swan so wasn't getting at you for being able to get to the gigs i.e. spending money. Good on you, a few of my mates would blow the equivalent value on a shitty t-shirt with 'Ralhp Lauren' or 'Calvin Crisp' on it or some wank so I'm with you.

After all, I'm going to two, and I would've gone to more if I didn't miss the ticket line opening.

Main thing for me is getting time off work. Any idea who the support is yet or do you 'reckon that'll be a wait and see job, I mean, lets face it, its New Order so it could be anyone. Perhaps Showaddywaddy will get a bell at half 7 on the first night.

Time off work hasn't work out too badly for me - what with three London gigs! Actually did Electronic at the Barrowland way, way back and I remember catching the midnight train back to London so I could get to work the next morning! This time I'll stop up there though!

Support is Doves, no? That's the rumour. Preferred them when they were Sub Sub though!

Still waiting for my 'Express Delivery' tickets. Four and a half squid and they still haven't arrived... :)
