Pat the man mentioned track 3 on the promo of 'Here to Steam Iron my own Clothes Nice' was a real peach melba. Was unsure the other day obout which mix he was meaning but having had the weekend to play the song back-to-back for over 14 hours I can confirm that he is in fact very correct.

I have recently posted that I detest re-mixes which I still believe to be the case (mostly) but this mix is quite gravy boat. Apart from the canyon effect placed quite unnecessarily on Bernard Matthews' vocal chords its chase the ace into the hole. I do like the synth parts that drift in and out and also the thunder clap bass efforts that make a weasel leap.

All other mixes on the CD too aren't too bad apart from Felix-Da-Mouse-Mat and the Sumball mixes which are utter cunt.

... what do I say?

I am delighted to learn that apart from Regret, you and I continue to be in agreement about just about all NO material, Huntsy. This particular mix continues to give me delight and joy. I can see what it is you don't like about the vocal effect, but here, frankly, I think it is appropriate, or at least forgivable.

Just to clarify one thing though, Huntsy, track 3 is the Housecat mix, is it not? The Scumfrog mix is an example of what I believe you have described as typical by-the-numbers bad remixes.

mmmm ... taints what would have been a monumental mix though p? ... the synth part (mid to high pitch) has a lovely melody - its this kind of 'music' that is sadly lacking in recent re-mixes ... i seemed to think that dj's and re-mixes bang a drum beat, place the vocal from the original track and that's enough? ... whereas mixes like this one have additional and complimentary musicianship on it .. which is marvel-mouse.

regret aside p yes we do agree. but whilst regret remains the diving line we cannot consider ourselves bonded in order, which is a shame. you have never enjoyed the division which again destroys our mutual love ... joy division can make you feel like your belly has just fallen onto the floor, which is the 'buzz' you enjoy with no (as this mix proves). you must get into it p before it is too late and your far too old to appreciate things, which surely will be on thursday of this week.

tat-monkey instead of writing the above you could have summed it up with one really good word ... see what you think of this instead of writing all of that text and really, wasting your time:

nectre.

or,

fucking nice one.

(in terms of how good things are)

The interaction of what you refer to as the synth part (about four notes, I believe) and the very deep bass part is truly delicious. Plus the interesting fact that this mix has vocals ("set you free") not present on any other mix. As between the radio edit and the original mix, I think I sort of prefer the O.M.

I know I have a lot of catching up to do on JD, and I'm not sure I can get it done by Thursday.

Interestingly enough Huntsamn, with reference to your previous alias, i went to a market near where I live on Saturday called Borough Market. it was selling Pigs Trotters for 10p each. Unfortunately my good lady, who like your good self's a veggie, wouldnt allow me to buy one.

I'm glad about that because pigs deserve respect. They can certainly chow like bastards but when it comes to chopping their hooves off for dinner it a'int right. Veggie or no veggi a man's trotter is his own property and slicing one off for 10 pence is a ludricous suggestion. How would that market seller like it if his beak had been prized off with a hammer in order for a pig to line his or her pockets with ill gotten gains.

Think once, think twice, think the animal shouldn't be eaten.

Meat is murder - Mock-meat is king.

Long live the pig ... viva las vegas!

It was a bit grim. 10p's a bit insulting as well innit?

The only "problem" with that mix is that it's too long. There is too many spots for DJs mixing, an edit would be VERY nice.

As I've said before, the stretch from about 4:10 to 5:00 would be the first to go.
