I'm probably a bit late with a comment on this film as many of you chariot racers will have already seen it but there you go.
Utterly superb in every respect. I'm not one to give out praise lightly but this film is exceptional in my opini-onion. From start to finish I was on the edge of my stool (mainly to prevent the popcorn tub from slipping and causing a cinema popping corn landslide to the Order faithful) and to me, it was very moving. Alan Partridge managed Tony Whipsnake very well, pitching his voice with consumate ease ... I thought the man himself was actually on the screen at one stage! (I think he was actually).
Anyway, great film, great acting, smashing storyline (did all of this really happen in real life?) and the oscar must go to whomever played Sir Robert of Gretton ... quite outstanding.
The only bad point of the whole event was that Morrissey was unable to attend but given he is as stubborn as a mule that is really in fitting with the story.
9/10 from me ... 10/10 if it was 5 hours long.
