John Frusciante on NDF — Forum Archive

Has anyone else noticed that in the credits for the live version of NDF on the 24HPP OST features not only Moby and Billy Corgan, but John Frusciante of the Red Hot Chilli Peppers on guitar? I knew him and Flea were big JD fans, but I wasn't aware he had performed with them. That makes 5 guitars (assuming Phil was there and that Moby was playing his guitar)! Also, isn't it a bit weird when you have more guest members on the stage than actual band members? CTB :cool:

yeah it's a bit strange...and to be honest...the drumming on this live-version doesn't really sound like Stephen Morris at all...i don't why, but it's not really the way he usually plays the drums in NewOrder or Joy Division... :idea:

Even weirder, they actually had Gillian's sister Kim up on stage with 'em too. Er, not sure she did anything though. Which is about as much as Gill does too.

Yeah, exactly Marco - the drumming does sound a bit Metallica-esque, doesn't it? Reminds me of a Spinal Tap song at the start in fact CTB :cool:

Yeah, exactly Marco - the drumming does sound a bit Metallica-esque, doesn't it? Reminds me of a Spinal Tap song at the start in fact CTB :cool:

well, is it then really all three of the "original" new order on stage? Bernard on guitar, Hooky on bass (too low in the mix as usual :D) and Stephen on drums, right? Hopefully the "live-set-version-for-Finsbury" sounds a bit more enthusiastic...
