Does this box set contain everysingle released track by Joy Division? All their songs and remixes? I want to own everything released by Joy Division. If I buy this box set will I have everything or will I still need to buy other stuff?

If my memory serves me correctly, I think the box set is pretty definitive - it has all the singles and albums, plus the "An Ideal for Living" ep, a few outtakes, tracks from the unreleased first album (not all of them though) and radio sessions as well as some live stuff (which is of poor sound quality).
It doesn't have the full tracklisting from the 2 Peel Sessions from memory, nor the Permanant mix of LWTUA, but apart from that you could do a lot worse. Previously unheard rehersal versions of Ceremony, In a lonely place and Chance (Atmosphere) make it worth owning alone. My advice is to buy at all costs!

if you get the boxset you will still need to get: Love will tear us apart (B-side version) Transmission Live at the Factory (B-side) Complete BBC (peel sessions)CD Warsaw CD Still Rarities/Live CD Preston Live CD Live Bain Douches Live CD
Definitely a must have fer Hardcore fans - espescially those who weren't old enough to remember them;)
Thanks! you guys do a new fan justice!!
What is the difference between the regular version and the remastered version, aside from it being remastered. Different pics? liner notes?

The Box Set hasn't been remastered mate - just mentioned it on the Peel Sessions - superior quality for sure - not sure about the liners notes though - The Joy Division liner was done by Dave Simpson from The Guardian Newspaper in July 2000, and the New Order one was done by Peter Huxley from Uncut October 2000 - maybe someone else will help you out with more details;)
AND...the Arthur Baker Remix of "Love Will Tear Us Apart" is also missing! I guess it was only released on the Canadian Issue of the 1995 CD-Single ![]()
it is a must if you are a major fan...there is a decent amount of overlap, but you can't go wrong. There is an excellent booklet that comes with it, worth it just for that

No two ways about it..buy the Box Set. Superb from start to finish. In fact I'm gonna slap it on tonight as you've just reminded me how great it is
It's probably the best thing you could get, though I would advise seeking out the Warsaw album for yourself. I like some of the rawer cuts on it (Warsaw, Interzone, Transmission)
I still ain't got it - I already had all the stuff on there bar the IALP cut (which a mate taped for me), so couldn't see the point in further expense. (Says he, who has most of the pointless Fall compilations)
the new version has smaller fonts and the cd seems to be a darker colour sound quality the same
