Have to say NO/JD is in some good company...the list is pretty decent.
Well, except maybe for this one: 180. Hey Ya!, Outkast
i don´t remeber but i don´t like too much that list. i mean there are too many songs that should have another positions.
the same thing in the 500 albums edition, where closer by JD is in the 157 and substance by NO in the 361 Th. How is possible that Eminem and No Doubt are in a better position?? is stupid, now i think closer deserves being in the first 25 albums.

Well, I care that a magazine actually recognized my favorite [foreign] band. I figured some people would also be excited to see New Order somewhere on any list. Guess not.
Maybe it's a north american thing, seeing NO/JD in these lists just didn't happen even ten years ago here. They've only started to appear in these mainstream best of lists recently.
Is this the tenth time this list has been posted, or the eleventh? The band don't seem to be moving up the charts at all!

Isn't BLT the stereotypical 80s record spun at "proms" and such like? Hence probably the only reason it made a Greatest poll in a US music magazine?
Let's face it, there are better New Order songs which could qualify for this sort of thing!

Well, I aplogized for that in my first post. I didn't find it. From what I see, this forum does not have a real dedicated forum search engine, and the useless google search didn't bring up anything. Sorry.
BLT wasn't played at my prom. :( A NY dance radio station last year ranked BLT #35 on the most played list though. :)
Yeah, yeah, I know, who cares.
Some of the songs on that list are a joke.
And if you think the Rolling Stone is worse: Q magazine did the top songs of the 80s for their mag. Blue Monday was #2. Michael Jackson's Billie Jean was #1.
