Anyone listened to Hot Chip's 'The Warning' album?
I am almost certain 'Colours' samples the squelching, twittering synths at the end of Chosen Time, and 'No fit state' is pretty much 'Senses' updated - that track also seems to incorporate a sample taken from 'Senses' (I think it's the guitar or a similar synth effect.....).
Good album. Don't think there is any doubt they are New Order fans as they sample 'Temptation' in their live shows.
I've still not got around to buying this album. I saw them in Bournemouth the day before the NO gig and you can definitely draw similarities.

Can't see the Colours link, sort of know what you mean about No Fit State.
Don't get the fuss about this lot. Couple of decent singles, granted, but a track like Colours is just trite Indie shite in my book. Terrible C86 vocals too, thought that genre was long dead. Then again, polka-dots are back in fashion again

Dunno. I just welcome them as they seem to be part of an emerging electro-disco niche, after electronic music has spent years on the slide. Bands such as Goldfrapp, Ladytron, Royksopp, Client etc, are slowly bringing it back to the forefront. All hail to that.
Yes, Ladytron are fantastic. Check out the 'Witching Hour' album if you haven't yet. Perfect blend of electronic and shoegazer-ish guitars. In fact, it's hard to tell which sounds are synths or guitars becuase they blend so seamlessly.

Just been playing Colours.Sounds a lot like it.Also sounds like they were Chammy leathering their car during recording as well!!
Yeah I see the no fit state similarity. Got the album after steve played the track on bbd radio and have grown to like most of the tracks, some still dont gel with me, but I like most of them. No fit state is one of my favourit songs of the moment though, i think its really strong.
I think the end of No Fit State sounds like Temptation? They are definitely No fans, i saw them do Over And Over live and they used a sample of the opening beats from Blue Monday too. Took me a bit to get into them though as the vocals aren't the best
