Tony Wilson Spke Magazine interview

Dunno if this was linked here before, I searched for a few minutes and couldn't find anything, unless the magazine title wasn't included in the thread title.

An interview with Tony from sometime last year, he talks about any number of things, such as the upcoming movie of Control, Situationism, Martin Hannett, and his belief about how Everything's Gone Green is NO's most important track, and the beginning of modern music.

If this was talked about before, sorry, but hey, there's lots of other good interviews with authors and some musicians on the site.

Good discovery Green. Like what you mention the article gave a interesting insight into Tony's past, present and future and even though - and he himself agrees, he's a t*** he's a maverick t*** who took some risks, created something interesting and worked with people - JD/NO, Rob Gretton, Martin Hannett etc. that today's 'X-Factor' music industry personalities (sic) could only dream of. Okay Factory/Hacienda went tits up and he may have an ego bigger than the North of England but I'd sooner a one Tony Wilson f***-up's and all than a million 'success story' (sic) Simon Cowell clones who only give a f*** about exploiting individuals in the music business for their next million. Did he mention why he turned down Oasis and went with Factory Classical,leaving Mike Pickering to take Black Box/DeConstruction to London and forming one of the most important dance label imprints of the 90's while Factory went under?

I pretty much just died on his mention of an acid dealer.. good one Tony! This after watching that You-Tubed Smiths interview he did... he's loveable in a very ridiculously crazy way. You want to smack him hard, but also give him a kiss on the forehead for being so mad.
