I just looked on CDnow and they have a May 14 release for Here to Stay and Player in the League. Is there any official confirmation for this, all you people in the know?

It's probably the Australian import or something like that.

Patrick, you are my saving grace!! And my mom thinks you're swell.

But you don't think it's a real release? It's so unlike the record company to do a crappy job of promotion.

Thanks for the kind words.

For one thing, I think it is very unlikely that Warner would release a U.S. single that was not on a U.S. album. Also, CDNOW often seems to list these forthcoming items that are really imports without indicating they are imports.

It's best never to trust CDNow on release dates. And I found a waiting list on Amazon.com for a used copy of the Recycle box set. I'd bet it's pretty lightly used.

Check CDNotYet.com...they're pretty up on the Order's U.S. releases.

 This forum can be a very lonely place (sniff, sniff). But now I feel loved even if it took a desperate cry for attention!! And don't worry, J, I'll talk to my mom, she'll forgive you!!

Brett, I did talk to Nicky. He says Hi but wanted to know if he could keep your pants. He doesn't want to take chances with a Monica Lewinsky dress-type scandal.;)

Shuggers, if I want to hear from you I will address you!

But doesn't anybody care about HTS being released State-side except Patrick? Does anybody care that I took the time to procrastinate and check in here and look at the CDnow website? Not to mention the Nurses in orange Jello webring.;) I should be working hard on my papers and studying but no, I'm in the trenches trying to bring important information to my friends and loved ones here at NOonline.:\ohwell:

I checked. . . just to make sure. :laugh2:

O.K. everyone, I'm going away to take my medication(I'm doing so much better these days) and pretend to study!

I'll never again hear the words "Are You Being Served?" in quite the same way...

Shit, I haven't had such a good time at a Public Television fundraiser since the Moody Blues played at that orgy with the cast of Riverdance.

As long as they get any kind of copy out this way sometime in this new millenium. Even a trip to some of the import stores in Portland last week yielded no information at all, and I haven't been bothered to harass the lowly workers at the mall CD stores lately.

Hey Green,

But you have HTS on mp3, right If not it's all over audiogalaxy. Anyway i was wondering if you saw Paul Westerberg on Letterman two nights ago? The song was O.K. but he had some sort of weird beanie (Jughead from Archie comics like) hat and when Dave when to shake his hand Paul put the hat on Dave's head. Kind of surreal, like a 40 year old rocker's form of rebellion.

i saw several copies at a downtown hmv store in toronto...maybe it's just cdnow that has a problem. the real question is, has the video been played anywhere except england and the internet? i'm waiting for much music to debut the video, and it's not happening.

Snickers, have you seen the video? it was on the 24 PP website. And, I gots a bone to pick with you! One of these days I'm gonna go listen to one true passion and bring back lyrics to prove my point. DUMB!(in fact so dumb you have to pronounce the "B") So get your argument ready!

Are you near Toronto? I was just up there for a conference two weeks ago. We had fun, but aren't you a socialist country? How come you got so many homeless there?

yeah, i saw it. but it would be nice to have one tape so i don't always have to get on the net to see it. one true passion is not embarrassing, but it ain't margaret atwood (canadian reference there...) poetry! not embarassing does not equal good! besides, didn't i say that he should have lost that stupid macho crap in his lyrics.

don't get me into canadian politics. we're right of center on the spectrum generally, so we'd like to think we're socialists at heart, but we've got a bit of that conservatism somewhere with those stupid cut backs...ah hell. don't get me started. i'm taking too long to reply.

Don't have AG, have been running BearShare. It's there as well, but I can never get through for HTS. Don't use Morpheus much anymore since they changed; the damn thing freezes my computer up. :nonono: Have seen the video, just gonna have to wait a bit longer to get my copy.

Damn, didn't know Paul was on Letterman. Don't know why I didn't know about that. I'm also really miffed cause I missed his instore appearance at MusicMillenium on April 23 as I had a family function that I had to attend that night.

I did find a couple of interesting Replacement mp3s the other day. One is a Let It Be outtake called Perfectly Lethal, which I like, and the other is a live take of I'm In Trouble done with the riff from Last Train To Clarksville, from an 84 CBGBs gig. Great sound on that.
