Songs that sound like New Order songs

I know there have been threads on this subject before, but don't know if this particular song has been mentioned before.

I've just been listening to my local radio station (Century FM) and heard a song called 'Whatever I Do' by Hazel Dean (a Stock Aitken Waterman artist) which is a blatant rip off of Blue Monday.

I think it came out in 1984, so obviously after BM.

I remember when that was in the charts ad simon bates (remember him) said that song owed a lot to new order, being young a nd nieve i thought he meant new order did the music and bought it (despite not being gay!), how nieve can you get?

i remeber one day i heard a song that had the synth line to a perfect kiss in it, but it turns out that song was older then tpk so i dunno what to think

Some Pet Shop Boys songs have New Order sound. One b-side particularly called "Too Many People". It´s so similar that even the PSB mentions this in the booklet for their CD Alternative.

While I´m at this, I´d like to push for that Tonight at 19:00 (Tuesday 30 January) I will spinn some records at MOJITO BAR in Stockholm. Plenty of New Order including the side-projects will be played.

Unfortunately, it sounds like Republic-era New Order, rather than New Order at better times (eg any other time).

The bassline to PSB's Shopping is also meant to ape Hooky, so I've read somewhere, although I never made the connection despite having heard both countless times.

I mention 70 Gwen Party's Autokiller UK every time this thread comes around but no one ever says 'Crikey - Jonny's right! It's so totally a reverb-drenched industrial re-imagining of New Order's seminal Blue Monday! I can't believe I never thought of that before!"

i take that as a compliment, wait till you hear our new stuff, got a new singer/guitarist who's a member on hear, I'll let him introduce himself if he wants.
