Yer not gonna believe it:evil4:

The famous Glasgow Celtic are gonna be appearing on TOTP next friday:lol: With the song "Best Days Of Our Lives" apparently it's at Number 17 after the first 2 days!! Shane McGowan, Huey from FLC, Ian McCulloch and Noel Gallagher sing on the record - which apparently tells the story of the Lisbon Lions winning the European Cup, Billy Connolly and Rod The Mod are in the video. Get tae the shops and buy it;)

Unforytunately not mate, start my new job on Tuesday - so it won't look too good if I have a day off in the second week (although my good pal Malky is trying to talk me into it!) Good memories of Highbury, 86 we were at David O'Leary's Testimonial 2-0 to the Bhoys (Rambo McInally & Choccy McClair I think) then in 92 we were there for Paul Davis' 2-2 can't remember the scorers, always a good craic down there though:nod: We're also playing Leeds next week - but as I say, with the new job, I havnae got a fookin hope:nonono: Roll on tomorrow - League & Cup Double will be nice;)

Serious question, no offence meant. How does it feel to only have to beat the same team all the time? All the other opposition being a class apart. Personally if us and Everton had pulled away from the rest of the country in the 'Eighties' I think it would have been boring as hell. We played each other twice in cup finals and it was a great buzz but year in year out, no thanks.

No offence taken Hanky;) I can understand why everyone down here thinks it's a mickey mouse league.....afterall no-one outside of the Old Firm has won the league in nearly 20 years!! We always get one team every year who challenge us (Celtic & Rangers) this year it was Livvy, last year Hibs...... But yer right it's not much fun, and it's quite understandable why Celtic and Rangers hardly ever get very far in Europe, we NEED a decent league - but it's not ganna change up the road, the finance is simply not there! Look at poor old Airdrie - they are now deceased to be, they have to come up with funds quick - and even then they'd have to start off in the 3rd division, Motherwell are on the brink as well! The only way forward (IMO) is to join either the English League....which I can never see happening! or a European League (Atlantic League or whatever you want to call it) But again, I can't see this happening! I'd love the Old Firm to play down here, and silence a lot of people, don't get me wrong I don't think we'd win the Premiership, but both would be in the top half of the table:nod: It would bring excitement and glamour......but also trouble. What is the answer? FUCKED IF I KNOW MATE;)

I was at the Davis game, as I was sh*gging a Celtic bird from Dunblane at the time. Nicholas scored for you, plus the Polish defender (Wydozyck? - f'knows how you spell it?!) got a 35-yard howitzer of a free-kick.

Nice one Jarvo;) just call him Shuggy - that was his nickname:nod: you pronounced his name Darius Dubchek;) he came to Scotland just after a fellow Pole - Jackie Jackanovsksi (fucked if I'm gonna spell his real name:lol: ) He's famous for scoring 4 goals in a European tie against Partisan Belgrade - but we lost out to a last minute goal (5-4 on agg!)

:nonono: Cheers Niely! I knew someone would mention it:nod: Fair play to the Current Buns - outplayed us - simple as that! Celtic were piss poor, Balde, Lennon & Hartson were the only one's to come out with any credit. Disappointed was not the word, and I have only just recovered from a 3 day drinking binge;) Gotta say that we still enjoyed ourselves here in Corby - the better team won the game, which makes it easier to go out and have a laugh, we're still the Champs - so all's not lost.....just hope that this result spurs us on fer next season, and hopefully St Martin will go out and add some quality to the team. The latest rumour is Fabrizio Ravanelli - I hope this is only a rumour!!! Ach well - look on the bright side I say:lol: Best Days Of Our Lives charted at Number 17 - and having heard it on Saturday it'll be Number 1 next week:evil4:
