Blues have made it as far as Cardiff! 
Though not particularly up on this footy lark, I know this is a result for the team I secretly support, I now feel I may be attending more games this forthcoming year.
As this may be the last topic I post it's goodnight from me and it's goodnight from him...

I don't know a THING about footie, but seeing as how I spent a semester in UEA, I think it's only fair that I side with good ole Narridge in this one.
But I must say, they have ugly colors. Yellow and Green, if I recall correctly.
Cardiff IS more fun to say.

The play-offs are fine as long as it's not a team you care about taking part.
Any sensible team would have just won the championship and had done with it. And then done exactly the same the following season...;)
It was nothing if not interesting at the New Den last night. Check out the BBC News reports for full details.
We were kept in the ground for nearly 2 hours afterwards and didn't get back to Laaandan Bridge till about 12-ish.
Though it was worth it in the end, one of the sweetest victories I have witnessed recently.
It will be tricky against Porridge though. Being a Blues fan you can never count your chickens. At least it should be a great, hassle free atmosphere on the day.

Heard there was more than a bit of trouble. Living in Millwall catchment area I thought it sensible to stay in and lock the doors last night!
Jarvo, Big Ollie, mmmmm let me think, he was a nice lad, just not cut out for playing fer the hoops, far too many mistakes mate!
When yer playing in front of 60,000 every other week - you've gotta be able to take critisism, unfortunately fer the big fella, he couldn't cope with it, although I must say, if you've got a large section of the crowd (unfairly a lot of the time) slagging yer every mistake, it must be pretty tough!
Favourite memory of him, was his performance in the 4-3 hammering of the Mancy lads at Old Trafford - he was simply immense in that one;)

But having met a few of the players at the Celtic / Republic game in Dublin 97 - Malky always made time fer us, so I have to stick with the Green & Yellow, instead of the Blue & White
Must admit it was pretty scary last night. We were kept in the car park but could hear and see all the fireworks and flares going off.
On the way back to South Bermondsey Station saw the burnt out cars (I think one may have still on fire!)and loads of debris littering the streets.
Though I didn't realise how bad it was until I saw and heard the news reports this morning - its make you wonder whether its worth going to these types of games anymore. Is it really worth the hassle.
I suppose it was worth it as we won and got out of there safely. I hope we do go up so we don't have to go back to the New Den next season.
I know alot of teams have their problems but particularly Millwall and Cardiff are a real throwback to the Mid-80's.

There is an interesting issue of control of the media, United are spitting the dummy because journalists are questioning their in-house propoganda and spin machine. And in Europe all the G14 clubs want to paint a picture of whiter than white fans to protect their interests. There was also stories of Livepool fans rioting afer the Leverkusen exit as well, on a smaller scale but largely ignored by the media. United will probably boycott all media and use MUFC TV to leak only stories they want leaked.

Thats only coz they didnt catch the Millwall scum. believe me, the damage the 'Lions' fans caused was in a different league entirely
Yep, I saw the debris after the match. While you can't always believe what the police say they did mention the 'ferocity' of the disorder took them by surprise even though they were prepared for it.
I am just pleased we were kept in for nearly 2 hours rather than being let out straight into the streets.
Out of the 3-400 that got escorted back to the station there was probably about 150-200 Blues nutters but the rest were 'innocents' (including a small London Bluenose contingent!!)who would surely have got caught up in all the flare, fireworks and bricks that would no doubt have rained down on us.
Millwall & Cardiff both stem from the lands that time forgot. Having been to both this season the memories are still vivid.
It's not just that they have a section of lads who don't seem to give a fac about getting lifted, a lot of clubs have that, it's the sheer numbers.
Mate of mine Steve, big Millwall fan, takes me down there 4 or 5 times a season - he went on Thursday & saw all the post match entertainment with the ob, lasted for over an hour, said it was the worst he'd ever seen down there. Well I've been with him at both the New & Old Den & seen some pretty ferocious battles. Being chased through Bermondsey residents front gardens (apologies Seb if I ruined your herbaceous borders) by ob & their growling dogs after a Stoke game 5 years ago springs to mind particularly, that was after a 20 min running battle. If it was worse than all those incidents it must have been an incredible row.
Reckon the ob did you a big favour keeping you locked in Mickey. Now you've got Cardiff to look forward to. Frying pans & fire spring to mind. Dunno if the Soul Crew will have a welcoming committee for you, but be careful all the same. I'd think the ob will have it fairly well taken care of.
Praps Narridge will surprise you & run both the SC & Zulus around town ;)
