Just been to see Minogue at the MEN Arena and it was pleasing to not that she finished with the Blue Monday-ised verson of 'Can't get you out of my head' rather than the original. Seems like that's become everyone's favorite version.
Kylie does it live

Does that mean she did or didn't finish with the Blue Monday escapade?
Apologies for being thick but last day at work shandy drinking and all...
Ah just got it, that should say note...
Sometimes I surprise even myself at how stupid I am :o
Good! ![]()
Am going to see Ms. Minogue myself next Saturday, and was wondering if she would do the BM version....
...yes, my name is Kez, and I have just come out as a total Pop Tart....;)
I heard Blue Monday being used underneath something else last night, don't know what it's called or who it's by, but the line "I wear my sunglasses at night" was sung all through it. My bro works at Ministry of Sound, so I've e-mailed him to see if he knows anything.

There's a new remix of the old Corey Hart(?) 80's synthpop hit Sunglasses at Night doing the club rounds, deriving from some Canadian knob-twiddling in his studio.. The backing drums and keyboards do resemble BM.
This may be what you heard.. I'd hate to confirm that this was what you heard for fearof a stinging verbal lambasting of the magnitude a fellow NOOLer suffered recently when suggesting you didn't know your vinyl from your CDs.
BTW, an [un]interesting coincidence here is that I used to live 5 minutes from the said Ministry Of Sound. Perhaps I once met Bob.

DOH! ![]()
I thought this was gonna be a link-up to Kylie's personal web-cam, dissapointed is not the word!:D
Shug, I was sorry to read about you and Kylie in the "NewOrderWebCom's new Forum Moderator" thread.

I do now. (down towards Borough). Believe me it's nothing to be proud of :\ohwell:
I saw some club chart with a song called 'new monday' which I have a sneaking suspicion may be some sort of remix of BM
...this might in fact be the Tiga & Zyntherius cover of "Sunglasses at Night." though of course, i could be wrong. as i wasn't the one who heard it. ;)

What are you ashamed of, Briggsy?
Elephant & Castle has all the lifestyle amenities and retail options a modern Sarf Londoner needs..
Why there's the well patronised Bingo Hall; several "aufentic, innit?" Indian and kebab eateries; a thriving Milwall supporters club; it boasts its own 'state of the art' cinema (the elderly box office attendee once threatened to punch me out); there's a king's selection of offies; colourful characters litter the streets; and drugs of every description are freely available.
Now that's living.
You lucky sod.

That's the fella! Hmmm, Corey Hart. I'm the first to admit being an 80's throwback, but that particular track must have passed me by.
It definitely had Blue Monday mixed in with it (I do have ears, remember) and my favorite (indeed only) brother is trying to get me a copy. I'm not holding my breath, though as he's notoriously unreliable.

hmmm...yup thats about right - wouldn't go as far as being ashamed to live there though - in fact I quite like it....It is actually getting better....slowly.....
You didn't mention THE shoping centre though...phew....Why go to Oxford Street etc when you've got that on your doorstep?

Yeah, I think it's this track as that's defo the one that's doing the rounds at the mo' - I posted about this in March after I'd heard it on Pete Tong's show on the way to me mate's wedding Oop North. The vocal does sound very 80s though, in an Eldritch Gothic type way. Perhaps a sample?
There's also a mix knocking about that comprises ALL THREE! Kylie, Sunglasses and the Order, all in one mix. Heard it on Kiss earlier in the week.
Frankly, I think the Sunglasses bit spoils it.

Oddly enough, there's also a version of PSB's West End Girls done as a medley with Sunglasses at Night.
A rare item these days.
