Anyone know what type of guitar Bernard uses in true faith/other performances?

If you're refering to the one in the picture you posted it's a mid 1960's Gibson 330TD.

The other main guitar he uses live now is a 1960's Gibson SG jr.

Thanks, have seen 2 similar ones, in 1993 concert and recent true faith performances, was wondering which guitar it was :)

i have a theory that he stopped using these guitars in favor of the SG because he got a little heavier and starting having back problems. this guitar is hollow to the core, not semi-hollow like his other one he was using in the early 80s.

or perhaps he stopped using because they started playing more joy division tracks, and the SG was better for those songs.

Stick with the second theory! SGs are solid. He's always rotated guitars, there was a time(we'll call before) when he used a Tokai Strat for a while as well, there's been at least one 335 alongside the 330, and he's now using a Rickenbacker 12-string for LWTUA.
