These guys sound like New Order

Don't know if any of you have ever heard of Cut Copy - they are a Melbourne band. The song is called "Hearts on fire" but my daughter has other songs that sound even more like NO that aren't on their MySpace page.

in the threads here about bands sounding like the Order I always nominate them.

Mind you i only got the album cause the reviewer said they sounded like the Order circa PC&L.

from memory in the booklet there's a Blue Monday reference as well.

Yeah, when my daughter was playing them I noticed the resemblance straight away. I think they are pretty good too.

Sorry, I just don't get how these guys "sound like" New Order.......... do they have Manchester accents or something???????

They sound like a lot people from the 80s, and 90's people with an 80s sound, and 00s people with an 80s sound, mixed with 90s Trance sounds ...Daft Punk, Coldcut, Junior Boys, Arcade Fire, Lightning Seeds, bad trance, whatever...not PC&L era New Order in particular IMO... at least from the four Myspace songs

"Hearts On Fire" is very unoriginal 90s trance-y cliched sounding, kinda crappy

the other 3 songs are better, if maybe not real original and distinctive

"Autobahn Music Box" is kinda nice, probably people here would like this best

bit like a plastic version of depeche mode
