New Order star's Shogun for sale

by Stuart Milne

A Mitsubishi Shogun previously owned by Peter Hook from Mancunian electronic band New Order is for sale on Auto Trader.

The off-roader currently sports a numberplate bearing Hook's nickname 'Hooky', although the bassist is planning on keeping it to transfer to another car.

Priced at £6,995, Peter Hook – the car's only owner – specified the silver, 3-litre Shogun with a long list of equipment, including cruise control and leather seats.

Peter Hook shot to fame in the late seventies as a member of the English electro-punk band Joy Division.

Peter Hook's ex-ShogunAfter the suicide of Division's frontman Ian Curtis, the band renamed themselves New Order and became one of the most critically-acclaimed acts of the 1980s.

The band's single Blue Monday became the biggest-selling 12-inch single of all time, and they teamed up with John Barnes for the 1990 World Cup track, World in Motion, which reached number one.

On the contrary my dear, I think he's upgraded to an even bigger model. We saw him before the Wolves gig in a huge Range Rover.

Brrruuummmm brum (see what I did there?)

"ShogunAfter" would make for a cool band name. Images of a samarai post-hari-kari come to mind.

Anyways. cool mode of transport! Wonder what Hooky is driving these days in it's place?

Right, that's two people that have seen Hooky's new Range Rover and said that it's MASSIVE.

How can it be any bigger than everyone else's Range Rover? Surely they're all the same size?

And, if he's got a bigger one, where do I get one?

I love him dearly, but I'm fucked if he's having a bigger one than me, knoworramean?

We saw him drive off in this after the Gretton night and knew it was safe to bugger off and nowt interesting would happen on stage.

It's nowt special Col.
