Nice find! you now make the front page ;)
And good news about the Monaco reunion.... funny they call it "Hooky and Pottsy" ![]()
I will ask more details to Pottsy about that one.
"But I'm not too sure the climate is great for [a New Order album] at the moment."
Is that the micro-climate within the band? Or the macro- climate, as in the record company's decided that the market's "not quite primed for another New Order disc yet, guys"?

Yeh I noticed this as well. I wonder how long we'll have to wait.
I wish he'd just get on with some more New Order material, before they DO decide not to press on.
Why doesn't he just get Potsy to do the vocals for Freebass?
And bugger the record label; just go the i-choons route!
Not when Ian fucking Brown is willing to do vocals.
I'm not saying David Potts isn't good enough, I'm just saying Ian Brown is better in my opinion.
Barney should do a lyric too me thinks.

Ian Brown has never knowingly managed to sing in tune in his entire life. At least Pottsy can hold a tune.
Ian Brown's done some cracking collaborations with UNKLE so this could be very promising if it does happen. Mani joined Brown on UNKLE's Reign so if they could come out with something along the lines of that then it would definitely be worth all the fuss.
My only fear with Freebass is that they decide to stick to online releases only and not bother with physical records/CDs. The quality of the AAC/MP3 files on the likes of iTunes is pish! ![]()
So proper records please if you're reading Hooky ![]()

hmm, I agree. I beleive they'll get more sales if their first album is right in the front in HMV than somewhere in itunes.
I am sooooo happy to hear that Peter Hook is excited about writing again glad to hear that I like to see him happy:) I think he's having a blast.
