I haven't seen mention of this on the boards yet, but Douglas Coupland, the Candian author who coined the term "Generation X" and has generally recieved rave reviews for his work has just had his first screenplay turned into a film. He has a history of appropriating text and lyrics from 80's alt-rock bands, and the film is called Everything's Gone Green.
It seems to be getting generally favorable reviews, and at least one blurb I read about it online mentions the New Order connection.
There have been tons of ads for this on MySpace. It's pretty cool. It's always nice to hear about good reviews.
I'd hold up on the 'good reviews' for now. There's only 15 counted as yet, which - according to my calculations - isn't statistically significant enough to give an accurate reading. Wait til there's at least 30 reviews counted, then we can say with authority if it's good.
I want to believe though! Much as it pains to say it as I live in Vancouver - I want a Vancouver-set movie by a Vancouver author to be good - I've just been disapointed by Douglas Coupland too many times.
But will I see it either way? Of course.

Has anyone actually seen it? I think EGG is featured in the movie and soundtrack.
