The Killers' Shadowplay wouldn't have got on Community II. Hopefully Franz do a better effort. Interesting song choice.
Ugh.Somehow this doesn't surprise me of them
And what's this song called 'Ian Curtis' by some band called Thursday i've read about?
Franz Ferdinand must die!!! ![]()
Strange innit, how a band, who's album admittedly, dint do as well as it's first, suddenly jump on the jd bandwagon?
Pisses me off!

Strangely enough, Franz Ferdinand are not the only band covering "No Love Lost": LCD Soundsystem's New Single
I actually am quite fond of Franz Ferdinand. I'm glad they're covering this track, and I think it'll give me a reason to buy this single.
When does it come out?

yep....me too, Franz Ferdinand doesn`t create on me any expectation, but LCD does.
However i'd prefer to listen to it first. Seems Franz Ferdinand Likes a lot JD...i remember when they did open a U2 concert in Buenos Aires last year doing transmission during the sound check.

personally....i like it, i have to admit it!!
New bands pay tribute to JD. It's a sign. A great sign. JD is now in rock history. Not only a "post punk band" known by a few fans. They are unavoidable.
I think Ian would have like it - but Did he even imagine a future for JD?

Inquiring minds want to know...
Let's ask the man himself. ![]()

Yeahh i'm agree... now Joy division have the recognition they deserve.

Apparently "Ian Curtis" by Thursday is a song that uses JD lyrics, though I have not heard the song. Thursday also have some shitty "Love Will Tear Us Apart" rip off logo thing as well.
Xiu Xiu have covered Ceremony (forgot which EP) and have a song called Ian Curtis Wishlist (Broken Promise album, I think).
Thursday is a band that a few rave about, and I think would be pretty good if they didn't have that dude that is always screamin in the backround. If that dude was gone, they might be able to pull off a cover well.![]()

It's a sign Joy Division is the "flavor of the month"....
I don't think it's a coincidence... new remasters, cover from new "hot artists", release of the movie...

P/S: You can find all you want... even NO Babe covers New Order these days ![]()

Xiu Xiu's Ceremony cover is on their very good "Chapel of Chimes" EP. The song Ian Curtis Wishlist is on their not so good album "A Promise."
