Murder uses samples from Caligula and 2001: A Space Odyssey (that's Kubrik used twice).

Everything's Gone Green has been nicked for the title of a film not once but twice.

Did I miss any?

I wonder who the film buff in the band is - if it's only one of them who suggests the film-based titles?

Incidentally, Cries And Whispers is depressing but excellent. I bought the Criterion edition of the DVD.

I don't think I've ever seen the lyrics! You know, that phrase is probably one I've misheard as something else or - even worse - comes out as phoenetic gibberish when I sing along. :)

I was watching The Celluloid Closet last night and Vanishing Point is mentioned. Since it's also a major reference point for Grindhouse, that's what got me to thinking about the correlations.
