Eastern Europe is great fun, i would be there like a shot. Me and a mate were in Prague a couple of years ago, you get charged pretty average prices for beer etc in the town, but take a train out into the sticks and you can get a large pils for under 20p. Happy days indeed

If it's Eastern Europe I propose Na Skalky. Up a very big hill in the middle of nowhere five miles from the Slovak border in the Czech Republic. Stunning community/municipal open air aphitheatre. Seen many a shite Czech rock band there, always thought it would make an amazing venue for a "proper" gig.

Well I would be there, wherever it might be. Even if it falls between June 5th-20th, though that wouldn't make me very popular!

Granted I would perfer it closer to home; but if it was their last gig; then I would try to make it just so that I can see them live once. Too bad that now I would be going solo

I'd go to East Germany to see them but that's as far East as I'd go. I'd have to take wife and kids with me, so it has to be all ages. No drunk fighting please. I would go if it were in East Berlin or anywhere in Spain. Only if it was a REAL farewell show. I would pay top dollar for a show in Manchester though. Never been there and wish very much to go.

Surely if you are gonna fly from America, it doesnt really matter where in Europe it is, no? So East Germany as you say, would be a goer, but the next countries Eastward ie Poland or Czech Republic would be too far?

The biggest festival I know in Easter Europe in summer (August) is the Sziget festival, Sziget being a large island in the heart of Budapest...

Alternatively...Salford Grammar School main hall which was where Bernard and Peter first met. Its now Buile Hill High School and is soon to be demolished so that a new school can be built. I even think that the hall has been equipped as some sort of performing arts centre.
