Say New Order do offi-c-i-ally announce they're splitting up ... but .. they're gonna do just one more gig.

Perhaps do it somewhere dead neutral. Say, somewhere in Western Europe?

Nah, Eastern Europe - 'bout time they got the chance to see 'em before they depart this mortal coil.

Who here would actually go?

Seems to be a lot of wailing and gnashing of teeth in the 'split' threads.

But who would put their monies where their mouths are and actually bother to attend One Final Concert?!

Don't all answer at once. :skeptic:

Nah, Ron, it's where you put 'in my Shed'...

If it was the last time, then anywhere in Europe wouldn't be a problem... How about doing Technique live in Ibiza?

I thought it had been established that they have to do a tour of Yorkshire before calling it a day.

I'd go anywhere in Europe, but I'd say Manchester would be the most appropriate place. Have you been asked to put out feelers :skeptic:

ISS Dome in Duesseldorf

It's very central. Easy to get there from Belgium, Netherlands with car or train. Half an Hour flight from London.

in my experience cars and New Order gigs do not go together, no matter how close to home the venue is

Considering the relationship between Hooky & Barney is fookin' freezing at the moment, have to be somewhere warm & sunny to thaw the fookers out! Tho' reading into it,maybe it's just Barney that needs thawing:laugh:

Seriously tho',& not being biased whatsoever, gotta be Mancunia hasn't it? :thumb:

That would be mint! Reminds me of when GLC adveritsed a world tour which just consisted of towns in Wales!

Eastern Europe is great fun, i would be there like a shot. Me and a mate were in Prague a couple of years ago, you get charged pretty average prices for beer etc in the town, but take a train out into the sticks and you can get a large pils for under 20p. Happy days indeed

You're right. But I think, it isn't a new order problem. It's a general (Pre-Gig-)Drinking problem, when you have to drive a car.

How would it be with Club Ciudad in Buenos Aires? :D

If it's Eastern Europe I propose Na Skalky. Up a very big hill in the middle of nowhere five miles from the Slovak border in the Czech Republic. Stunning community/municipal open air aphitheatre. Seen many a shite Czech rock band there, always thought it would make an amazing venue for a "proper" gig.

Well I would be there, wherever it might be. Even if it falls between June 5th-20th, though that wouldn't make me very popular!

Granted I would perfer it closer to home; but if it was their last gig; then I would try to make it just so that I can see them live once. Too bad that now I would be going solo

Surely finish it where it all began at the Electric Circus, Manchester. (Does the venue still exist in it's original form - I'd be surprised? I'm not local, y'know) But please no "Blue Monday"/"World in Motion" encore. Go out on "Your Silent Face"/"Decades"

Yeah, i'd be there. You'd have to go wouldn't you? But knowing how things work, they'd pick Glastonbury and no one could get tickets and they'd play in front of 130,000 Arctic Monkeys fans...
